Kicking Fire

A warm-up sketch that blazed into a full blown illustration. The whole thing was a bit of an experiment: trying out new brushes & patterns, lasso tool for coloring, and different layer effects. I wanted the dress to feel like it had a ton of layers, and I loved how there was a sheen of different colors sprinkled throughout. I wanted to convey the energy I've been feeling lately.
