Shadowbox Art

Paper Art Shadowbox project for my dad's birthday.
I used pictures from my parents' vacation to Lake Tahoe and digitally clipped out background items, drew over them to simplify outlines, and added unique details where needed. I organized subjects into separate layers while adjusting placement so they wouldn't block too much detail from each other while backlit. I cut out the final layers onto cardstock with a Cricut machine and added foam in between layers for depth and stability. Finally, I added a layer of tissue paper for the "sky" and hot glued a string of LED lights to the back board. (Battery pack accessible from the outside.)

This was my first paper art project but I am excited to complete more.
